About
My name is Esti Handini and this used to be my CV website. I will make changes along the way that it will be more suitable for students in my classes to access extra teaching materials.
I currently am a lecturer at Department of Geological Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. An old university a little too close to one of the most active volcanoes in the world, that is Merapi. I study volcanoes mostly using geochemistry and petrology.

I received my D.Sc in 2018 from Kumamoto University, Japan. I completed a dissertation titled "Evaluating Subduction Siganture in Java Arc Volcanics, Sunda Arc, Indonesia" under supervision from Prof. Toshiaki Hasenaka.

My main research interest is quantifying the input from subducting slab to the mantle wedge across and along Sunda arc, Indonesia. I develop geochemical models in order to understand the amount of subduction components donated from both altered oceanic crust and marine sediment. I have worked on volcanic rocks from 15 volcanoes (and counting) in central and eastern part of Java island.
Other projects can be viewed in section.
